Cruise Ships - Bay of Islands, New Zealand 36 Cruise Ships are due to visit Bay of Islands between October 16th and 8th March 2011. The Cruise Ships normally anchor in the Bay between Paihia and Russell. Passengers are taken to Waitangi wharf by tender. There will be a suttle bus service between Waitangi wharf and Paihia town centre/wharf. Local Arts and Crafts Market wil be held at the Village Green in Paihia when Cruise Ships are in the Bay.
